In the fall of 2023, Eliza attended the American University in Cairo as a Simpson Egyptology Scholar, studying Arabic, Hierolgyphics, and ancient Egyptian history while traveling to historical sites and working within the theatre department. She considers cultural exchange and dialogue to be the best tools we have to break barriers and create true community. Eliza believes that there is magic in the mundane, and the best stories are rooted in our everyday truths.

She aims to facilitate and create art that inspires and incites cultural exchange on and off the stage. She is a Jack of All Trades, and carries the title with pride. She has experience in almost every role within the realm of theatre, and calls upon that knowledge and experience to ensure she is setting realistic goals with her collaborators while aiming to push the art form forward. Eliza values open dialogue and collaboration above all. She believes that while we all know a great deal individually, our collective knowledge and experience is our superpower. There is always more room to grow, and more seats can always be added to the table. Community care is among her top priorities, as theatre is one of the few spaces left for collective gathering and experience. Her goal is to one day be the artistic director of her own theatre company and produce work that moves the form of theatre forward while still honoring our collective past.
